Janssen-Cilag Ltd, High Wycombe, Bucks, UK We report the case of a 44-year-old female patient with paranoid schizophrenia, who developed blepharospasm on risperidone treatment, but who was successfully rechallenged by risperidone without recurrence of blepharospasm. Possible mechanisms of action and implications for clinical care are discussed.
